We are living in a society where still your capability is judged by your gender. It is common thinking that if you are a woman you are not strong, your job is just to take care of your family, kids, and house but today we are going tell you about those 10 most powerful and influential women they showed that women are not only strong but they have the capability to influence others.
These Indian ladies who’ve made it big in their respective fields and changing the common thinking of society. They are proud of our country.

1. Zia Modi (born 19 July 1956)


Zia is a corporate lawyer and known businesswoman. She has worked for many known corporate groups like G.E., Tata Group, Reliance Industries, Aditya Birla group, etc. She is ranked #1 in the most powerful women entrepreneurs in India 2018 and 2019. She is a true inspiration for many women who wants to make a career in legal authorities.

2. Hima Das (born 9 Jan 2000)


Hima is known as Dhing Express, is a Sprinter from the state of Assam. She holds the current record in 400 meters in 50.79 s that she clocked at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta, Indonesia. She is the first Indian woman athlete to win a gold medal at the IAAF World U20 Championships. Hima is an idol for many young girls and boys who want to make their career in sports.

3. Kiran Mazumdar (born 23 March 1953)

Kiran is the chairperson and managing director of India’s largest pharmaceutical company, Biocon Limited. Biocon manufactures generic active pharmaceutical ingredients that are sold in more than 120 countries across the globe, including the developed markets of the United States and Europe.

Her belief in “affordable innovation” has been a driving philosophy behind Biocon’s expansion. Inspired by the need for affordable drugs in less-wealthy countries, she has looked for opportunities to develop cost-effective techniques and low-cost alternatives

4. Ekta Kapoor (born 7 June 1975)

She is an Indian television producer, film producer, director, joint managing director and the creative head of Balaji Telefilms. In 2020, She was awarded Padma Shri which is fourth highest civilian award in India

She has produced more than 130 Indian soap operas under her banner BTL. Her most popular shows are Hum Paanch, KyunkiSaasBhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kahaani GharGharKi, KasautiiZindagii Kay, Jodha Akbar, Naagin and several others. She is the one who credited with starting a new wave on Indian television. She is also known as the “Czarina of television” and “the Queen of India Television”.

5. Priyanka Chopra(born 18 July 1982)


Priyanka an actress, singer, film producer, and winner of the Miss World 2000 pageant. She is India’s highest-paid and most popular celebrity. Chopra has received numerous awards, including one National Film Award and five Filmfare Awards. In 2016, she got her Padma Shri, and Time named her one of the 100 most influential people in the world.
In 2017 and 2018, Forbes listed her among the World’s 100 Most Powerful Women.

She has always maintained a strong relationship with her family, especially with her father. She describes herself as a self-made woman. Her mother was a well-established gynecologist in Bareilly but she gave up her practice to support Priyanka.

6. Medha Patkar (born 1 December 1954)


Medha Patkar is a social activist and reformer turned politician who is best recognized as the founder member of the famous Narmada Bachao Andolan in three states MP, MH, and Gujrat to save the rivers and people.

7. Kiran Bedi (born 9 June 1949)


Kiran is a retired Indian Police Service officer, social activist, former tennis player, and politician who is the current Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry. She is the first female Indian Police Service (IPS) officer and started her service in 1975. She remained in service for 35 years before taking voluntary retirement in 2007 as Director General of Police, Bureau of Police Research and Development.

8. Chitra Ramkrishna (born 1963)


She is the first woman managing director and CEO of the National Stock Exchange (NSE). This institution was found in the early 1990s to reform the capital market in India, and now ranking among the world’s largest exchanges in cash market trades and as one of the top three exchanges in the index and stock derivatives.
She was named Forbes’ Women Leader of the year in 2013 for her work as CEO of the National Stock Exchange of India.

9. Nirupama Rao (born 6 December 1950)

Nirupama is a retired 1973 batch IFS officer, who served as India’s Foreign Secretary from 2009 to 2011. She also represented India to the United States, China and Sri Lanka (High Commissioner) during her career. In July 2009, she became the Secretary in India Foreign Services. She is second woman to hold the post of India’s Foreign Secretary, the head of the Indian Foreign Service.

10. Nita Ambani (born 1 November 1963)


Nita Ambai is an Indian philanthropist. She is the president and founder of the Reliance Foundation, Dhirubhai Ambani International School and a non-executive director of Reliance Industries.
