There is no doubt the TikTok influencers are dominating the social media on a higher realm these days. So, we connected to one of the TikTok sensations Abhishek Kumar, from Punjab, to know his point of view on certain subjects regarding the platform and his own career as he has achieved a lot by now and has delivered a good deal of content on the handle.

Question:

Looking back, what made you join TikTok as a content creator?

Answer:

I did not join TikTok to earn money or get any benefit out of it. I started creating content on the handle mostly for fun. I constantly enjoyed being on the app and expressing myself and then slowly I started catching the sense of understanding the concepts such as what would and would not work. I did not have any outcome-oriented mindset when I joined it.

Question:

If you were not a TikTok content creator, what would you have chosen as a career option?

Answer:

I am a Mechanical Engineer. If I did not accidentally get success on TikTok, I would have either be in the Engineering line or I would have chosen to be with my father in his business of iron trading.

Question:

How has TikTok changed your life?

Answer:

TikTok has given me name and fame, there’s no doubt in it. The same brands that I used to ask work from are coming to me on their own and paying me the demanded price without any questions. Another amazing thing is the love I am getting from people who know me. My career is smooth and I am really grateful for that.

Question:

How do you respond to people who troll TikTok influencers?

Answer:

I think it’s a part of this industry and I mostly ignore that area. I do not get time to indulge in knowing who has trolled me or what is happening in the trolling zone. I prefer to focus on my work and try to curate good content for my active followers.

Question:

Would you like to give any tips to the upcoming TikTok influencers?

Answer:

Yes. I would like to tell them that along with lip-syncing clips, they should focus on the real acting, as well. They should have more videos on actual acting scenes with good dialogue delivery than music videos as they will portray their acting talent in a fresher and in a more precise way.

Who is your favorite Social Media Influencer & why?

Answer:

There is no favorite but I like Awez Darbar’s content. I am inspired by the social messages he conveys through his content and I always try to grab the tips for that skill from him.

Question:

What are your future plans?

Answer:

I recently performed in some Punjabi videos and have also done a web series. Right now, my focus is to be on a daily soap and when things are right, I would love to be in Bollywood, too.
