Every year, Forbes, the renowned magazine name, comes out with its own multiple lists after thorough research and analysis. This time, we are here to cover the most recent list: India’s top 100 celebrity list. Well, the best part about this list is that it treats all Bollywood actors, singers, cricket stars and television personalities as one.
In this top 100, you’ll find everybody under the hood yet this time, it has been a shocker, TV celebrities dominate the list.
So, about the TV industry, who’s on the list?
1. Neha Kakkar
Neha Kakkar ranks outstandingly well among all TV stars, at rank 29 after her new role as a TV show host of Indian Idol, has earnings of Rs 25 crores. A Bollywood star already, she is now dominating over all other television names in this list.
2. Sunny Leone
Sunny Leone, the megastar who has had both, Bollywood and television stints, ranks 48 on the list. This is mostly accredited to her work as a celebrity host and mentor on the show Splitsvilla on MTV.
3. Kapil Sharma
Kapil Sharma had vanished from the list last year after the problems faced by his show, The Kapil Sharma Show. Thanks to his efforts this year, the newly married man is back on the list with a rank of 53, earning around Rs 34 crores.
4. Sanjeev Kapoor
With many celebrity chefs on the list, Sanjeev Kapoor ranks highest at 73 after dropping from his past position of 32. This could be because of lesser appearances on TV and tough competition from other renowned names in the business like Vikas Khanna.
5. Divyanka Tripathi
Divyanka Tripathi, a television actress who became a known face after Yeh Hai Mohabattein, has got herself at rank 79th, being promoted from rank 94 earlier. This is mostly because of her new work role as a host on the show, The Voice.
6. Bharti Singh
Bharti Singh is another comedian on the list, with a rank of 82, earning around Rs 11 crores, accredited to her rising success as a guest tv show host, award show host and performer that is loved by the Indian audience.
7. Remo D’Souza
Remo D’Souza is a known name in the film industry for his journey and works as a professional choreographer. He has judged the dance reality show Dance India Dance over the years before launching his own show called Dance+. He has also ventured out as a movie director now, with Street Dancer 3 coming out soon.
8. Raveena Tandon
Raveena Tandon who recently started her journey as more of a television star recently as a judge on The Drama Company is on the list at rank 89 with earning of Rs 2.4 crore. She is known for her work in Bollywood especially with Bollywood actor, Govinda.
9. Karan Kundra
Well, featuring on the 92nd spot with an earning of Rs 4.12 crore, Karan Kundra has ranked in the list because of his well-loved gig as a host with his better half on the TV show, Love School. He has hosted multiple seasons of the show on MTV along with his earlier stints on Roadies and other guest appearances.
