Top 10 Highest Grossing Bollywood Movies Of 2019

The year of 2019 which is nearing its end has been a great year for Bollywood. While yes sure some movies failed to leave their mark but we were also blessed with some of the best performances and stories like Super 30 and URI which not only added the perfect doze of entertainment to our year but also made record-breaking business at the box office. 

The top 10 highest-grossing Bollywood movies of the year are: 

1. War – Rs.474.79 Cr

The recent release staring Bollywood hunks Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff though did not get much appreciation but made big business at the box office. 

2. Kabir Singh – Rs.379.02 Cr

The much controversial film of the year which is a remake of Telugu film Arjun Reddy and stars Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani was ranked the second highest-grossing Bollywood movie of the year. 

3. Uri: The Surgical Strike – Rs.342.06 Cr

The Vicky Kaushal starrer Uri which is based on the true events of the URI attack not only won the hearts of all but also made it to the list of one of the highest-grossing movies of the year. 

4. Bharat – Rs.325.58 Cr

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Bharat though failed to win the hearts of the audience but successfully earned big bucks at the box office. 

5. Mission Mangal – Rs.290.02 Cr

Based on the real story this multi starrer was not just critically acclaimed but has also been ranked at number 5 on the list of India’s top-grossing Bollywood movies.

6. Houseful 4 – Rs.278.78 Cr

The sequel of the Houseful franchise, Houseful 4 earned not just crores but also got themselves listed in the highest-grossing Bollywood movie list of the year.

7. Gully Boy – Rs.238.16 Cr

Directed by ace director Zoya Akhtar and starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, Gully Boy was one of the much-beloved releases of the year that entertained the audience with its catchy songs and worth praising performances by the actors.

8. Total Dhamaal – Rs.228.27 Cr

The multi starrer was a laughing riot and clearly one of the most entertaining movies of the year. The highlight of the movie remained the iconic pair of Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit that were seen together in a movie after many years. 

9. Chhichhore – Rs. 212.67 Cr

Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Chhichhore was a story of a bunch of engineering friends reuniting that stole all the hearts away. 

10. Super 30 – Rs. 208.93 Cr

Based on the life of mathematician Anand Kumar, the film starring at Hrithik Roshan was well received by the critics and the audience. With a praiseworthy performance by Hrithik, the movie made it to the top 10 list of highest-grossing Bollywood movies.
