Brand mascots play an important role when it comes to connecting with the audience. there are several examples of brand mascots that have remained as the representers of brands from decades and 7UP’s Fido Dido is one of them.

Fido Dido

7UP’s animated character Fido Dido made a blink appearance in the “Back to Cool” campaign last summer and since then, we haven’t got to see him. Everyone who has grown up in the ’90s era has a fond memory of this cool character.

The new campaign named ‘Put the Chill’ shows Fido once again in his ever so cool avatar chilling with 7UP.

About Fido Dido

Fido was made by American artists Joanna Ferrone and Sue Rose in 1985. He was licensed to 7UP as a brand mascot in 1987-88. Over the years, 7UP is using it in different avatars. In some ads, he dominated the screen while in others, he shared space with Bollywood celebs.

Apart from TV ads, the cartoon character appeared in outdoor and on-ground promotions. Due to its popularity, Fido Dido games were released in 20017. A brand named Perfect Apparels also launched Fido Dido merchandise in India.
