Look How Much Salary Top Indian CEOs Took Last Year! The Figures Will Make You Jealous!

It’s said success is not an overnight business. We all dream of a life of bed of roses but it takes a lot of luck and hard work to actually achieve that. Rome was not built in a day and neither is the bank balance. We have come to know about the Salary Top Indian CEOs Took of different firms worldwide and gasped a bit but fail to understand the years of hard work and dedication that have worked to give the fruits.

You would be so happy if someday you are given a salary package of your dreams or get your dream job. Have you ever dreamt of being a CEO of a company and carrying out your business being the boss? Different countries have varied pay scales. The paying process and methods applied are so complex that it gets tough for normal individuals like us to assess the salary of top notch CEOs.

PTI has revealed the salary packages of Indian CEOs in FY 2016-2017 and you will surely drop your phone when you get exposed to the amount these CEOs were paid. Their per annum payment is much more than even you have imagined. Get ready to check the list and get jealous.

 

Check Out the Salaries of Top Indian CEOs from Last Year

1. N Chandrasekaran: CEO of Tata Consultancy Services

He joined Tata in 1983 at the age of 24 and since then kept on working with Tata. He became the youngest CEO to take over TCS at the age of 49 years. As CEO he has a package of 30 crores. Rs 2.44 crore was his basic salary, Rs 25 crores were his commission and Rs 2.7 crores was his allowance.

2. Sunil Bharti Mittal: CEO and MD of Bharti Mittal

He took an annual pay package of Rs. 30.1 crore. This is huge, isn’t it? He was earlier appointed as the chairman of the firm when he grabbed almost Rs. 20.8 crores.

3. Shikha Sharma: CEO of Axis Bank

Here comes a woman. Her basic annual pay was Rs 2.7 crores, variable pay was Rs 1.35 crores. That’s not the end she got an incentive of Rs. 90 lakhs that led to a turnover of Rs. 5 crores.

4. Vishal Sikka: CEO of Infosys

Now don’t let this blow your mind. Vishal Sikka does need people to count his ‘Sikka’s’ as his FY 2017 annual salary was 43 crores.

5. Uday Kotak: CEO of Kotak Mahindra Bank

He took an annual salary of almost Rs. 2.47 crores according to the reports.

6. Chanda Kochhar: CEO of ICICI

Just wish you were this lady! She is known for her role in shaping retail banking in India. Her salary per annum is Rs. 7.8 crores. In 2009 Kochhar was appointed as managing director and chief executive officer of the bank.

7. Pawan Munjal: CEO of Hero Motocorp

Welcome the highest paid CEO. His annual salary package in FY 2016-2017 was Rs 59.66 crores. Can you imagine?

8. Y.C. Deveshwar: Chairman and CEO of ITC

He is no more the CEO but according to reports this year, his salary was Rs. 21.6 crores.

His annual pay is almost RS. 25.59.
