How Sports Minister Used Saina, Deepika, Salman And Other Celebs For ‘5MinuteAur’ Campaign

Featuring sports and Bollywood personalities has become a great medium for marketers to get maximum output from their advertising campaign. This not only helps brands, but celebs are also earning a big portion of their revenue from such campaigns.

Our Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore knows the tactic that people easily follow whatever these iconic people do. So, he decided to involve Virat Kohli, Saina Nehwal, Deepika Padukone and Salman Khan to share their stories by tagging them in a tweet for the promotion of ‘5MinuteAur’ campaign.

Reacting to this, Nehwal spoke on how the extra 5 minutes on the badminton court during her childhood helped her reach where she is. She nominated cricketer Shikar Dhawan, husband Parupalli Kashyap, and Sania Mirza to participate in the challenge and spread the message.

Rathore had tweeted the challenge, as part of the Khelo India movement. In the video, the Minister is shown playing table tennis with both hands as he spoke about the initiative.

“Remember when we used to play in our childhood, that was the exact time when our parents would remind us of our homework. And we would say ‘just five more minutes’,” Rathore said in a video message on Twitter.

He urged people to use #5MinuteAur and #KheloIndia and share their five minutes more stories.

In 2017, Rathore did something similar when he shared a workout video and challenged athletes and film personalities to share their versions.

The Khelo India Youth Games 2019, which will see a host of athletes in action, officially kick off in Pune Wednesday. Star Sports had released this campaign with a video which has a strong call to action.
