Samsung is one of the most popular smartphone brands in the world but other brands including Apple have been giving it tough competition from past few years. Sadly, there have been instances where we have seen that the brand ambassadors of Samsung were caught using an iPhone instead of a Samsung mobile in public events. Musician Adam Levine and tennis star David Ferrer are also among those few celebrities who have been seen with iPhones despite being associated with Samsung for promoting their brand.

Another such thing is making news and Samsung has sued its brand ambassador for using Apple’s iPhone X in a TV show.

Ksenia Sobchak, the Russian actress, TV anchor, journalist and politician who is also the brand ambassador of Samsung in Russia was caught using Apple iPhone X on a live TV show. This, however, hasn’t been confirmed completely as she did try to hide the Apple logo, first by fingers and then by a paper. Samsung has asked her to pay Rs 11.72 crore (108 million Russian rubles or $1.6 million) for this.

Samsung has also alleged that this is not the first time that Ksenia has been found using Apple products.

It is being believed that $1.6 million is more than what Samsung has paid her for promotion. We don’t understand why celebrities sign such deals if they don’t like the products themselves. Is that fine to recommend something you don’t have trust in?
