IKEA India has appointed Jessamine Avila as its Chief Marketing Officer for India, bolstering its leadership team as the company continues to expand its omnichannel presence in one of its fastest-growing markets.
In her new role, Avila will be part of IKEA India’s Growth and Marketing function and will be responsible for shaping the company’s marketing direction, strengthening brand relevance and driving customer engagement across both physical and digital channels.
Avila brings more than two decades of experience in marketing and brand building, including 12 years with IKEA in various global and market roles. During her tenure, she has held leadership positions in Australia and worked with the company’s global marketing team in Malmö, Sweden, where she contributed to brand and marketing transformation initiatives aimed at deepening customer relevance and supporting long-term business growth.
Her appointment comes at a crucial time for IKEA India as the retailer continues to scale its footprint and strengthen its omnichannel capabilities. Leveraging her global experience and deep understanding of the IKEA brand, Avila is expected to focus on evolving the company’s brand expression and creating more consistent and engaging customer experiences across channels.
With Avila at the helm of marketing, IKEA India is set to further sharpen its brand positioning and deepen its connection with Indian consumers as it enters its next phase of growth.
