Religare Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited (RHDFCL) has appointed Pankaj Rathi as its Chief Financial Officer. The housing finance company, which focuses on low-income and informal-sector borrowers, said the appointment comes as it accelerates growth following a recent change in promotership.
In his new role, Rathi will lead efforts to build a diversified funding base, ensure capital adequacy, and strengthen financial governance in compliance with RBI and NHB norms.
A Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary with All India ranks in both disciplines, Rathi brings over 15 years of experience in banking and financial services. He has been recognised as CII’s Leading CFO of the Year – BFSI (FY24) and was named among ICAI’s 40 Under 40 Business Leaders (2025).
Rathi joins from Grihum Housing Finance (formerly Poonawalla Housing Finance), a TPG-backed HFC, where he raised over $1.3 billion across debt instruments and steered the finance function through two ownership transitions. Earlier, he spent nearly seven years at Xander Finance, rising to CFO, and has previously also worked with JM Financial, E&Y, and PwC.
