Metro Brands, one of India’s leading footwear retailers, has announced the appointment of Harshvardhan Chauhan as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and Senior Management Personnel (SMP). In his new role, Chauhan will be reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Nissan Joseph.
As per the company, this strategic move aims to bolster the company’s brand presence and market leadership within the evolving retail landscape. By bringing Chauhan understanding of consumer behaviour and brand growth into its leadership team.
The appointment strengthens Metro Brands’ focus on innovation and customer needs, with Chauhan expected to help shape the brand story and support its expansion across the Indian footwear market.
Chauhan brings over eighteen years of experience in marketing and business leadership. He has worked across different sectors such as retail, fashion, lifestyle, grocery, and home goods. He also has strong experience in ecommerce, which will support Metro Brands’ omnichannel growth plans.
During his career, Chauhan held several key roles at several organisations. He has worked in leadership positions at DLF Shopping Malls, Trident Group, RPSG, and the Godrej Group. He has also gained experience at global companies and digital first platforms such as Reckitt Benckiser, Accenture, ShopClues, and Bharat YEF.
