Unilever Elevates Abhinav Ravikumar As CMO – Personal Care India

Abhinav Ravikumar has been elevated as Chief Marketing Officer – Personal Care India at Unilever, effective January 2026. Based in Mumbai, he will oversee the personal care portfolio in India after holding a series of leadership roles across brand management, innovation, eCommerce and sales within the company.

Ravikumar was most recently Global Brand Director for Lux and Lifebuoy between March 2025 and January 2026, where he led global brand strategy and portfolio development for the two personal care brands.

Prior to this, he served as General Manager, eCommerce India from April 2023 to March 2025. In this role, he headed Hindustan Unilever’s eCommerce and prestige retail business, with responsibility for growth, market share and profitability across marketplaces, quick commerce, beauty platforms and e-grocery. He led a cross-functional team of over 150 people and worked on strengthening internal processes and technology systems supporting digital commerce.

Between January 2022 and March 2023, Ravikumar was Head, Home and Hygiene Innovation, South Asia, where he was responsible for long-term strategy, innovation, communications and brand equity for the Home and Hygiene portfolio across India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Pakistan.

Earlier, he worked as Regional Brand Manager, Dishwash for Vim from April 2020 to December 2021, overseeing brand proposition, product development, communication and long-term strategy for the dishwash category across multiple South Asian markets.

From May 2017 to April 2020, Ravikumar served as Senior Brand Manager for Rin and Sunlight Laundry, with full P&L responsibility for both brands. His tenure included brand relaunches, water conservation initiatives and multiple industry and internal recognitions.

Before moving into brand leadership roles, he was Trade Category Manager, Homecare between May 2015 and April 2017, handling all-India sales and market share delivery for laundry and household care brands. He earlier worked as Area Sales and Customer Manager from May 2013 to May 2015, managing sales operations across Hyderabad and Telangana.

Ravikumar began his career at Unilever as part of the Unilever Future Leadership Programme between May 2012 and May 2013, where he underwent sales and marketing training across multiple regions and worked on global brand assignments within the laundry category.
