HDFC ERGO Selects Consumr.ai To Drive Customer-Centric Digital Transformation

Consumr.ai has launched an AI-powered proof-of-concept with HDFC ERGO, aiming to enhance customer experience and drive innovation across marketing, segmentation, and product development in insurance.

Consumr.ai announced its selection by HDFC ERGO to pilot a proof-of-concept (POC) focused on improving the insurance customer journey. The project will address key business challenges across media efficiency, creative intelligence, audience discovery, segmentation, positioning, and product innovation.

Consumr.ai was chosen after being named one of four winners of TechPreneur Season two, an innovation program that attracted over 140 AI and tech companies globally. The selection followed a multi-stage evaluation process led by senior leaders from BCG, Google, HDFC ERGO, and ERGO International.

At the core of the POC is Consumr.ai’s proprietary AI Twins technology: virtual representations of consumer cohorts built on real behavioral data. The POC will use Consumr.ai’s AI Twins technology virtual models of consumer segments based on real behavioral data. These models simulate how different audiences react to content, products, and messaging, helping HDFC ERGO make consumer-informed decisions across marketing, creative, and product development.

The POC will use deterministic behavioral data from hundreds of millions of global users via integrations with platforms like Meta, Google, DV360, LinkedIn, Snap, and Amazon. HDFC ERGO can also securely onboard and segment its own first-party data into AI Twins, without using any personally identifiable information (PII). All insights are anonymized at the cohort level and fully comply with GDPR and CCPA standards.

On successful completion of the POC, the solution could be scaled across HDFC ERGO’s business lines, integrated into distribution channels, and applied to new use cases such as influencer marketing, regional positioning, and voice-of-customer programs. The partnership may also extend to ERGO International’s global markets, offering a replicable model for customer-centric transformation in insurance.

Consumr.ai has delivered successful AI Twins implementations for Rustomjee, Aditya Birla Insurance, and a Fortune 100 U.S. insurance company. The HDFC ERGO engagement reinforces its focus on the BFSI sector and positions the platform as a driver of innovation in global insurance.
