Nitish Bajaj has resigned from his position as Chief Executive Officer (CEO)- India Consumer Healthcare (ICH) at Piramal Pharma and has been associated with the company for more than five years.
As per a regulatory filing, the company stated that Bajaj has resigned to pursue an opportunity outside the organisation and his last working day will be on November 14, 2024.
Furthermore, as per the company, Sarosh Shetty will be engaged with effect from October 14, 2024 in order to ensure a smooth transition process and shall function as Interim- CEO- ICH business after Bajaj’s departure.
Before this, Bajaj was associated with CEAT Tyres for over five years. He joined the company in July 2013 as Vice President- Marketing. Later, he served as Senior Vice President- Marketing from July 2018 to March 2019.
Previously, he was Category Manager- OTC, South Asia at Reckitt Benckiser from May 2006 to July 2013. Earlier, he served as Senior Brand Manager at Ranbaxy Consumer Healthcare for three years.
From June 1998 to June 2003, he was Product Manager at HJ Heinz. In the past, he was associated with the Steel Authority of India as Executive (Marketing) from August 1994 to June 1996.
On the other hand, Shetty brings 27 years of experience in leading global consumer driven organisations such as Hershey, Unilever, Mahindra & Mahindra, Whirlpool and Colgate-Palmolive. This includes marketing and business leadership roles, both in India and globally.
He has strong expertise in business strategy development, marketing planning, brand building, multi-channel communication, process transformation, innovation strategy, commercial initiatives, and organisational leadership. He has scaled up new businesses and delivered competitive share gain across established categories.
In recent years, Shetty has worked as an independent consultant, driving business strategy and growth for various consumer-focused businesses. In his last corporate role, he was in a global leadership role as the Director for Strategic Growth and Innovations for international markets at The Hershey Company.
