Creativeland Asia Appoints Ex- S4Capital Country Head & Director Poran Malani As Group CEO

Sajan Raj Kurup-led global media conglomerate Creativeland Asia has appointed Poran Malani, Ex-S4Capital Country Head and Director, as its new CEO.

In his new role, he will take on the mantle of overseeing the business and formulating synergies across the various group entities of Creativeland Asia Group which has offices across India, London and its affiliates in Hollywood.

Malani joins Creativeland Asia with over three decades of experience in Media and Advertising across India, Europe, LATAM, US, and Far East Asia.

He, in the past has been instrumental in building some of the biggest brands globally, including building and scaling of two major agency networks worldwide- Ogilvy & Mather India and McCann Worldgroup New York.

Prior to joining Creativeland Asia, Malani was associated with Martin Sorrell’s S4 Capital for a period of over five-and-a-half years, starting February 2019, as Director and Country Head- S4Capital, MediaMonks and MightyHive.

Before that, he served the role of Founder and Consultant at Fair Fern, a Marketing and Advertising Consultancy for clients, agencies and future facing enterprises, for over six-and-a-half years between June 2017 and November 2023.

From February 2008 to July 2017, Malani was associated with Ogilvy & Mather India as President- Ogilvy India WW. During this time, he headed the agency’s Southern Group and built a strong local presence therein alongside establishing the agency’s world class global client hub for major clients such as IBM, Lenovo, Amazon India, Titan and others.

In the past, he also worked with Vodafone, McCann Worldgroup New York, The Coca Cola Company and more.

Commenting on Malani’s appointment as Group CEO of Creativeland Asia, Sajan Raj Kurup, Founder and Chairman, Creativeland Asia Group, said, “We are happy to have Poran join the Creativeland family and lead the group’s growth and vision across our network of businesses. His formidable experience in the business will allow us to scale and service the industry across the board.”

To this, Poran Malani, Group CEO, Creativeland Asia, added, “Creativeland Asia is the largest independent agency in India. I am looking forward to this new role at the group across its various companies, especially given its formidable presence in publishing, feature films and talent management along with highly advanced AI driven Martech solutions.
