In the aftermath of serving the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Flipkart owned-Myntra for the past two years, Nandita Sinha has now been entrusted with the additional responsibility of being at the helm of Flipkart Fashion as well at Flipkart company.
She has been associated with the e-commerce major for more than a decade now and served across a slew of roles at Flipkart before taking up the role of CEO at Myntra in January 2022.
Confirming the development to Marketing Mind, a Flipkart Group Spokesperson, said, “The fashion landscape is continuously evolving and we are committed to enhance the value proposition for our fashion-forward customers. Nandita Sinha, CEO, Myntra will take additional responsibility of leading Flipkart Fashion alongside her current role at Myntra.”
“A seasoned leader and group veteran, she has been instrumental in driving the growth of numerous businesses within the Flipkart ecosystem. Under her leadership, Myntra has solidified its position in the fashion industry, while also paving its path for the next phase of growth. Flipkart Fashion and Myntra will continue to operate independently under Nandita’s leadership as she guides the broader strategic direction for Fashion,” the spokesperson added.
Sinha had joined Flipkart as Associate Director- Health and Beauty in August 2013 and was elevated to the role of Director- Books, FMCG and Auto Accessories in July 2014. About one-and-a-half years later, in January 2016, she assumed the role of Senior Director- Lifestyle Accessories, Books and Media, Food and Nutrition at the company.
In July 2016, she became Senior Director- Home and Furniture at the e-commerce major and went on to become VP- Customer Growth, Media and Engagement in April 2019.
Prior to joining the Flipkart ecosystem, Sinha served the role of Co-Founder and Director at MyBabyCart.com from 2012 to 2013.
Before that she was associated with Britannia Industries in the capacity of Product Manager- Britannia MarieGold from September 2009 to June 2012.
She began her career with Unilever and served across a slew of roles such as Business Leadership Trainee, Brand Manager- Brooke Bond 3 Roses and Area Sales and Customer Manager at the company.
