While the list contains the names of 100 individuals ranked according to their wealth, we bring you the women entrepreneur in India who have made the list as well.
1. Smita V Crishna
According to IIFL Wealth Hurun India Rich List 2020, Smita V Crishna, the third-generation heir of the Godrej clan, has been named India’s richest woman with a wealth of Rs 32,400 crores.
2. Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw
Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw is an Indian billionaire entrepreneur who is the chairperson and managing director of Biocon Limited. It is a biotechnology company based in Bangalore, India. Mazumdar is also the former chairperson of the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
She is the second richest woman in India with a net worth of Rs 31,600 crores.
3. Manju D Gupta & family
Manju Deshbandhu Gupta is the wife of the late Deshbandhu Gupta, the Founder of Lupin Ltd. Manju Gupta was one of the co-founders of the drug major Lupin and the first investor in the company. She has been a member of the board for over 40 years.
Manju stands at third place among the richest women in India with a total wealth of Rs 21,900 crores.
4. Leena Gandhi Tewari
In the fourth place is Leena Gandhi Tewari, the chairperson of USV Private Limited, a multinational pharmaceutical and biotechnology company based in Mumbai, with a total wealth of Rs 14,000 crores.
5. Radha Vembu
Radha Vembu is the owner of a majority stake in Zoho Corporation, an Indian software development company. She is amongst the top 100 of the IIFL Wealth Hurun India Rich List 2020 and is the 5th richest woman in India with a total wealth of Rs 12,000 crores.
