To live, to dream and to travel, that is the goal, my friend! The goal you want to achieve and the life you want to live. When you travel to your dreamlands, when you see new faces and live experiences, that is when you comprehend the real value of life.

This isn’t something just the common man connects to but so do big stars. Many famous movies that became blockbusters were shot in wonderful dreamy landscapes and tourist spots, to connect better with the crowd and be more impactful.

Watch these movies if you want to know where you should go next!

1) Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara

Tourism movies

This one tops the list because of the wonderful cast covering many places and exploring the roots of the experiences one can explore. From deep-sea diving, enjoying the Tomatina festival in Spain and being a part of the bull race, it was a lifetime experience just to watch it, imagine the impact it had on the tourism sector of the places shown.

2) Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge

A Europe tour shifting to the mustard fields of Punjab, it shows a contrast of the Indian and British worlds in those few hours. Mountains, greenery, and roads leading to nowhere, there’s literally nothing this movie did not explore.

3) Queen

The best film ever that hosts everything you should do to relish a solo trip. Hopping on the streets of Paris and Amsterdam, visiting a totally new country and making new friends in the process. (Isn’t that what all of us wanted?) Well, quite certainly, that’s Kangana Ranaut for you, setting solo-traveling goals from a screen distance

4) Tamasha

A movie starring the fantastic duet of Ranbir and Deepika, it introduced Indians to a new city, the city of Corsica. A perfect getaway, no familiar faces and a wind of fresh air, – sounds like a perfect trip!

5) Dil Chahta Hai

Goa, Goa, and Goa. The movie that set the Indian generation on the trend of making college trips to Goa and planning for it for the longest period of time, it was all about the chill time on Goa beaches and churches!

6) Dil Dhadakne Do

A luxury cruise trip, a total worth it journey if you have money to splurge. A cruise across Turkey, Spain and Tunisia, you can shop, eat and dance your heart out. Who knew we could do so much on a ship?

7) Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani

Tourism bollywood

Right from a train journey with friends to a morning in the hotel room, YJHD is a delight. Covering a trek in the snow of Gulmarg (passed off as Manali) and then a filmy destination wedding in Rajasthani (Udaipur), it covered two opposite worlds in one go, as the prettiest of combinations.

8) Piku

Tourism campaigns

A road trip, weird instances, and pit stops, Piku covered everything in the first half of the movie. On the highway from Delhi to Kolkata, we see the stars tour the city of Varanasi and the city of joy, Kolkata.

9) Highway

Tourism

A thorough in and out journey, Highway was headed by Alia Bhatt who was a bride-to-be kidnapped by a local goon. From the Sangla valley in Himachal Pradesh to Aru valley, then the plains of Delhi, Rajasthan, and Punjab, the movie covered sights that are rarely covered on-screen before, giving rise to tourism in these places.

10) Jab We Met

A movie that started on a train journey, introduced us to a whole new song shot on the road, it went from Mumbai to Bhatinda to Shimla over the course of those couple of hours. The theme gave importance to each city, each moment and each frame.

These Bollywood movies certainly gave Tourism sector a boost. Which one did you like the most? Let us know in the comments section.
