Nitish Jha is the man behind an innovative food home delivery concept ‘World In A Box’.  World In A Box provides an experience of fine dining in a home delivery way serving cuisines of the world. Let us get to know the details better as he shares about his journey with MM

Tell us a bit about your background and how you got into this business?

I Am a computer science Grad and have MS degree in Finance. I love food & adventure travel. I used to work for an Investment bank before I made a transition into the hospitality sector. Saw a business gap & demand which I am trying to fulfill through my venture ” World In A box”

What was your inspiration behind this café/restaurant/etc?

There was a huge gap in the delivery market & health food & global cuisine was almost unavailable to order. I wanted to let people travel the world with their taste buds at the comfort of their home.

What do you think is the USP of your place?

We offer customization in the menu where people can build their own food by choosing their choice of proteins, carbs, greens, and sauces. This is as close as it can get to make your own meal.

How do you think your café/restaurant/etc. will be a game changer in the industry?

We are an opex light company with a focus on bringing global trends to the local market at half the price of dining out. We are bringing fine dining in the comfort of household

What is the most innovative marketing strategy that you have used to promote your brand?

Since we keep innovating with the latest trending menu mouth to mouth publicity helps us a lot. One of the biggest marketing success was when we started addressing fake Zomato reviews and that kind of became viral.

How much of an importance do you give to digital marketing and social media for the promotion on your brand?

Social media is like sanitary check these days, you do not exist without it. In fact, our brand got so much traction only because in our initial days’ lots of food groups covered us and made us reach to the audience.

Do you think social media influencers play an important role in today’s marketing?

Social media influencers are the guys next door you trust. You would tend to go with their recommendations, which also adds lots of responsibility on their shoulders.

What are your expansion and future plan?

We are currently looking at Delhi –NCR market as it in itself is a big market to capture very soon we will be extending services all across the city.

We all know about the success, but what’s been your biggest failure story?

Nitish Jha

I would not say it as a failure story but when we were to start we wanted to start with a High street Window in an elite office Complex and of course, we were told that since we do not have a brand presence we cannot get the space there.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years from now?

I see myself as the founder of the most loved brand across Delhi –NCR, a brand which is honest, healthy & brings smiles to people’s face.
