Why Lenskart Appointed Bhuvan Bam As Its Brand Ambassador?

Lenskart, initially, was an Indian online portal for selling eyewear. Now it is the fastest growing eyewear business, with a reach to over one lakh customers a month via a unique combination of a strong online business platform, uniquely designed physical stores and the most important, a first of its kind- ‘home eye check-up’ service.

Lenskart has revolutionized the eyewear business and is still on the go to reach out to new limits with its advertising.

Lenskart has signed the YouTube sensation Bhuvan Bam as its brand ambassador. When asked by Peyush Bansal, the Lenskart Founder and CEO, he said that Bhuvan has a unique appeal to the youth and Lenskart is looking for the same to target.

1. Social media presence: Bhuvan is Asia’s biggest YouTube sensation and has also won a Filmfare Award recently along with two Cosmopolitan Blogger Awards for the categories- ‘Entertainer Of the year’ and ‘Most Viral Content Creator’. This is in perfect compliance with the agenda of Lenskart to reach out to the masses.

2. Mutual Love: Bhuvan’s association with Lenskart came about with mutual love for eyewear. Bhuvan expresses his love for eyewear and brings to light how an accessory like glasses can change the appearance of a person and make them have a distinct personality, just like the characters he plays on his YouTube videos.

3. Youth Icon: The most important reason to sign Bhuvan Bam was his age, which is the same as the target audience of Lenskart. The best marketing strike for Lenskart, which provides the company with the reach to its audience and that too with the hands of the best.

Lenskart unveiled that Bhuvan Bam would be a part of multiple campaigns for them. It is keen on introducing numerous campaigns and launches for various channels of media, keeping in mind, Bhuvan’s multi-faceted talented persona.

• Bhuvan will be producing exclusive content for Lenskart as he is the most creative influencer on the internet.
• A special section in the Lenskart app’s interface (#BBkeFrames) will be available, which will consist of a collection of frames inspired by Bhuvan’s unique style, handpicked by him.

Bhuvan being a game changer is a perfect match for Lenskart, which believes in challenging the status-quo whether it’s in the kind of products or services it offers to the customers.
