Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli, is not only known for his performances on the cricketing field but also he has invested his money in sports and clothing companies. The latest news about Kohli has come out that he is going to try his luck in the packaged water business with his brand One8.
Bunty Sajdeh, the chief executive of Cornerstone Sport & Entertainment that represents Virat revealed this information. “We can’t disclose details of who we are in talks with… We are expecting to close the deals next month,” he said.
This will be the Kohli’s first direct investment in a beverage brand after his endorsement deal with PepsiCo that ended last year. You can read why he said no to Pepsico by clicking here. The final decision on when to start this new product is yet to come.
Kohli launched One8 in the November of the last year to focus on clothing, footwear, and accessories segment in partnership with popular sports and lifestyle brand Puma.
One8 is owned by Kohli and Puma provides designing and products. Sajdeh has also said that if One8 does well with packaged water then it can be extended to more such consumer goods. The company wants to make their customers happy by making quality products.
