1. Reliance Industries Limited
As per details, Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries Limited is valued at a whopping Rs 17.3 lakh crore. It is around 47% more valuable than the next company on the list.
With a Year-on-Year gain of 3.6%, it retained its numero uno position for the second consecutive year.
2. Tata Consultancy Services
Next on the list is the biggest private-sector employer in the country. The company’s valuation is around INR 11.6 lakh crore.
3. HDFC Bank
HDFC Bank is third on the list, with a valuation of INR 8.33 lakh crore. Along with its twin business HDFC, both account for a total value of INR 12.82 lakh crore.
The private sector bank is followed by IT giant Infosys. ICICI Bank follows Infosys.
Then there is Bharti Airtel, HDFC, ITC, and Adani Total Gas and Adani enterprises, in this order, completing the list of the top ten most valuable companies in the country.
After, listing according to valuation, here are the top ten companies according to Revenue.
1. Reliance Industries Limited
Reliance Industries topped in this area too. With a Year-on-Year change of 47% in revenue, it amounts to a whopping INR 7,36,581 crore.
2. Tata Motors
The revenue of Tata Motors is INR 2,81,507 crore, making it the second biggest company as per revenue.
3. Tata Steel
With a revenue of INR 2,44,744 crore, Tata Steel is the third on the list.
Tata Steel is followed by Rajesh Exports. Hindalco Industries is fifth on the list.
The third company from the Tata Group- TCS is sixth on the list. It is followed by HDFC Bank, Larsen & Toubro, ICICI Bank and JSW Steel, in this order.
Though Tata Group leads this list with three companies from its kitty making it to the top ten, the combined revenue still falls behind Reliance Industries.
After Valuation and Revenue, here are the top 10 companies by Profit.
1. Reliance Industries
The conglomerate recorded a growth of 26% in net profit in the past year, with its profit coming to INR 67,845 crore.
2. Tata Steel
Second on the list is Tata Steel with a profit of INR 41,786 crore, exhibiting a massive growth of 410% since last year.
3. Tata Consultancy Services
TCS recorded a profit of 18% compared to last year, exhibiting a profit of INR 38,449 crore.
HDFC Bank is fourth on the list, followed by ICICI Bank and HDFC. There is Vedanta, which is seventh on the list, followed by Infosys and JSW Steel and ITC, completing the top ten list.
