Sprite which is the #1 soft drink brand in China, was born in the year 1961 in the USA when it was felt necessary to counter the dominance of 7Up. It made its entry inside India in the year 1999, and within 10 years, it was able to topple Pepsi. The brand is now the largest soft drink brand in India.
2. Thums Up
The soft drink was introduced in 1977 to offset the withdrawal of The Coca-Cola Company from India. The brand was later bought by Coca-Cola who re-launched it in order to compete against Pepsi.
3. Pepsi
Pepsi by PepsiCo is the third most popular carbonated drink in India, even after the list of controversy in India such as Water usage, Pesticide regulation and short-lived ban in Kerala.
4. Coca Cola

Limca is a lemon- and lime-flavored carbonated soft drink made primarily in India and certain parts of the U.S. It contains 60 calories per 150ml can. The formula does not include fruit, relying instead on artificial flavors.

Mirinda is an international soft drink brand from Spain that was launched in India in 1991. The irresistible taste of Mirinda was communicated through our 1996 ‘Mirinda Men’ campaign, the 2000 ‘Taste Pe Atka, Mirindaaaa’ campaign and the ‘Taste Aisa Chaye Character Fisla Jaye’ campaign of 2003.
7. Fanta
Fanta brand owned by the Coca Cola Company and available in Orange and Grape variants. The fruit-flavored carbonated drinks have more than 100 flavors worldwide.
8. 7 Up
His first name for the new soda was “Bib-Label Lithiated Lemon-Lime Soda.” That became “7–Up Lithiated Lemon-Lime,” before Grigg settled on simply “7–Up.” 7UP was launched in India in 1990 and its international mascot Fido Dido was used for advertising in 1992 to position the brand as a cool drink for youngsters.

PepsiCo India has launched a new variant of Mountain Dew called ‘Mountain Dew Game Fuel’ in the country. Available in a 600 ml PET bottle and 250 ml can, Mountain Dew Game Fuel is priced at Rs 35 and 25 respectively.

Maaza is a Coca-Cola fruit drink brand from India and marketed in the Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe, and Asia. Its most popular drink is its mango fruit drink.
