Top 10 Indian Brands With Most TV Ads In First Half Of 2021

TAM Media Research is an organization that has created and set the base for using Science of Media Measurement in TV Audience Research in India. TAM is one of the two television Audience measurement analysis firms in India.

It monitors the advertising expenditure of brands and channels through its division ‘AdEx India.’

As per the report released by the organization on 23 July’21, these are the top 10 Indian brands that have advertised the most in the first six months of 2021.

1. HUL (Hindustan Unilever)

India’s leading consumer goods company, HUL has reportedly spent nearly 15% of the total advertising expenditure on TV ads.

2. Reckitt Benckiser

Reckitt Benckiser, the company behind brands such as Vanish and Dettol, contributed to 13% of the overall ad spends.

3. Brooke Bond Lipton India

Brooke Bond Lipton India‘s contribution to the total ad spending on television was 2 percent in the first half of 2021.

4. ITC

Just like Brooke Bond Lipton India, ITC‘s total ad spent on TV was also 2 percent.

5. Colgate Palmolive India

One of the leading healthcare brands of the country, Colgate Palmolive India‘s total ad spend was 2 percent from Jan – Jul 2021.

6. Cadbury India

Like many major brands, Cadbury India accounted for 2 percent of the total ad spends on television in the said period.

7. Ponds India

Ponds India contributed about 2 percent of the total television ad spending in the first six months of 2021.

8. Procter & Gamble

Procter & Gamble accounted for a total of 2 percent of the total ad spends on the television.

9. Godrej Consumer Products

Widely popular, Godrej Consumer products, accounted for an overall of 2percent of the total ad spend on television in the first half of 2021.

10. Pepsi Company

One of the leading beverage brand in the country, Pepsi, accounted for 1 percent of the overall ad spends on television.
