The Trade Desk Elevates Tejinder Gill To Managing Director

The Trade Desk has elevated Tejinder Gill to Managing Director.

He took to LinkedIn and wrote, “Roughly 4 years ago, I embarked on this journey with the vision of building a rocketship from the ground up—and what a ride it’s been! 🚀”

He joined the company in February 2021 as General Manager. In this role, he was responsible for leading the growth strategy for India with a focus on business, people, culture, P&L, and other things.

Before this, he was associated with Truecaller for more than four years. He began his journey with the company in September 2016 as Vice President (VP)- Sales and Head of India Operations. Later, in September 2018, he was promoted to VP- Global Sales (South Asia, MENA, Sub-Saharan Africa) and Head of India Operations. Finally, he served was VP- Global Sales (South Asia, MENA, Sub-Saharan Africa) from May 2019 to February 2021.

Previously, he served in various positions at LinkedIn. He started at the platform as Regional Sales Manager in October 2010. Subsequently, he was Regional Account Director from January 2014 to December 2015. Later, he was promoted to National Sales Manager in January 2015, a position he served till September 2016.

Earlier, he was Senior Account Manager Online Media Sales at Yahoo! from August 2008 to October 2010. In this capacity, he handled the North and South markets for auto clients, and served clients like GM, Maruti, Honda, Toyota, Hyundai, Ford, HP, Microsoft, Oracle, LG, and Samsung, among other things.

Prior to this, he was Assistant Manager at The Times Of India from July 2006 to July 2008. In the past, from May 2005 to July 2006, he served as Assistant Manager at Network18 Media and Investments.

From September 2002 to November 2003, he was associated with SAS International Export as Corporate Sales Executive. In this position, he was responsible for all the marketing and business promotions in India and abroad. Additionally, he also organised and participated in fairs abroad as well as in India. Furthermore, he spearheaded the client servicing, while coordinating with buyers and buying agents.
