Surf Excel’s recent Holi ad went viral on social media due to all kind of reasons. What this ad actually shows is a non-Muslim girl guiding her friend who is a Muslim and wants to reach his mosque dressed in white, without getting affected by the colors of Holi. However, this commercial became a controversial topic online because some felt that it promoted love jihad and immediately #BoycottSurfExcel, started trending on Twitter. Have a look at the ad once again to get a clear idea:
Now, a picture is going viral which shows the true portrayal of that very advertisement. In that picture, a Muslim boy wearing white Kurta is surrounded by boys all smeared in Happy Holi colors making way for him to pass untouched. This has gone viral and is winning hearts all over.
Who is the guy?
The Muslim boy is identified as Muhammed Suhail, a 2nd undergraduate Botany student at CPA College of Arts and Science in Malappuram in Kerala. He was going to the mosque for prayer when he saw many youngsters playing Holi. The group of boys saw Suhail and stopped playing Holi and in fact protected him from colors and made a clear way to pass.
Students of a college were celebrating Holi when a student walked by. They took care to not spray colours on him as he was heading for the Mosque. What Surf Excel debate? Life is good here. Love my Kerala ♥ (P.S now please don't boycott us for this. We are like this only) pic.twitter.com/QacafDTcIB

This is the true spirit of India. Despite the diversity, we live together as one.
And this spirit cannot be broken by any political force.

This incident reminds us that India still has several people who believe that diversity only brings positivity and makes us think beyond the boundaries of religion.
