How Steve Jobs Pranked Starbucks With His First iPhone Call

Steve Jobs has done wonders for the technology world. The stories from Steve’s life tell us how great he was. Along with being a strict CEO and a workaholic, Jobs also had a very good sense of humour. We are sharing one such story in which Steve pranked Starbucks with a 4,000 latte order.

Steve was making the first public phone call with the just-made ‘iPhone’.He dialled the number of a Starbucks store in San Francisco. The person on the other end of the call didn’t know that she is getting pranked in front of thousands of people at Apple’s Macworld conference. Steve said “Yes, I’d like to order 4,000 lattes to go, please. Before Ying Hang “Hannah” Zhang the Barista of Starbucks could say anything Jobs replied “No, just kidding. Wrong number. Goodbye!”. Hannah didn’t knew that she was talking to Steve Jobs. She came to know all this after many years through media.

Hannah still works at Starbucks as a barista and feels lucky to be a part of such an incident. “I feel very happy and lucky that I had a chance to actually talk to him,” she said in an interview. She also says that if she knew that Steve was on the other side she would have asked him to come to their store so that she can make the perfect drink for him.

This Starbucks store still receives many prank calls from Apple lovers who want to relive a part of history again.
