A Glimpse Into Sara Ali Khan's Brand Endorsement Journey As She Turns 29

Sara Ali Khan, the star who captivated audiences in films like ‘Kedarnath’, ‘Atrangi Re’, and ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’, has swiftly carved a niche for herself in the film industry. But her impact doesn’t stop at the box office, her influence has also made waves in the world of brand endorsements. Her vibrant personality and widespread appeal have made her a sought-after ambassador, showcasing her versatility both on and off the silver screen.

As she turns 29 today, this versatile actress has made a significant mark in the world of brand endorsements, securing the 23rd spot in Kroll’s Celebrity Brand Valuation Report 2023.

From her comedic flair in ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’ to the patriotic depth in Amazon Prime’s ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’, her range of roles is nothing short of impressive. Whether she’s embodying a bubbly personality, a strong-willed character, a fashion icon, or the belle of the ball, her dynamic performances have cemented her as a top choice for brands.

With a brand value of $27.9 million, according to Kroll’s report, Khan has endorsed a diverse array of brands across various categories, including FMCG products, beauty items, fashion brands, and more. Here’s a sneak peak into her brand endorsement journey, featuring some of the top brands she has collaborated with:

Fanta

Coca-Cola India introduced Fanta Juicy+, a new variant of the orange flavour sparkling beverage in 2019 and roped in Khan as their brand ambassador. She was associated with several consumer activations, digital and social media engagements, and marketing programs.

In 2020, the ‘Kedarnath’ actress featured in Fanta’s Holi campaign, #NoBahanaHoli, which aimed to encourage people to celebrate the festival without any excuses. The ad, targeting a youthful audience, effectively showcases Khan’s lively and engaging portrayal, resonating with viewers and capturing the festive spirit of Holi.

Dabur

Dabur India’s packaged fruit juice brand, Réal, has extended its portfolio with the launch of its latest offering, Réal Bites – a range of fruit beverages with ‘Réal’ fruit chunks. As a part of the portfolio expansion, they have roped in Khan, on the occasion of her birthday, to promote its diverse range of beverages- Réal Juices and Beverages and Réal Mango Drink.

PUMA

PUMA India appointed the actress as their brand ambassador in 2019. She then modelled in an ad for the brand next year, with Zaeden.

In the visually striking commercial “Back To The Streets”, Khan confidently showcased PUMA’s latest products. Embracing her vibrant persona, she models the new collection as PUMA highlights its essence: “Born in the 80s, the Rider returns to redefine a new era in casual cool street style”.

Maybelline New York

Maybelline New York launched a new campaign ‘Insta Weddings’ for all modern brides in 2021 with Khan. She presented a new range of makeup products, with her poised essence, for the new-age brides and the social butterflies.

JBL

In 2020, JBL introduced the ‘Atrangi Re’ actress as their brand ambassador with the launch of a new commercial that captured the spirit of youth with loaded graphics, and the Gen-Y lingo. The commercial is a combination of spirited moves by Khan and groovy visuals. The ad has playful lyrics that represent the young audiences like- ‘I am fab and flawed’, inspiring them to embrace their true selves.

The film was showcased across the brand’s social media channels and various other platforms. According to the company, this commercial extends JBL’s ‘Live it Real, Live it Raw’ campaign, which encourages consumers to embrace and live their authentic selves.

vivo

vivo, the global smartphone brand, designated Khan as its brand ambassador for its ‘S series’ that focuses on design and camera in 2019.

The brand’s collaboration with the ‘Murder Mubarak’ actress, added an amalgamation of style, fun, and vigour. The actress who has made a mark with her unique and inventive style featured in the company’s new TVC on ‘S series’. Later in 2021, Khan was featured in another ad film for the vivo Y73 where she unboxed the mobile phone while showcasing the latest features.

Garnier Skin Naturals

Garnier Skin Naturals roped in Khan as their brand ambassador in 2019. She endorsed the Garnier Serum Sheet Masks and in the ad can be seen getting ready to face the day after putting on the mask for 15 minutes.

Veet

Conceptualised by Havas Worldwide, Veet unveiled its new campaign #PullItOff for their product Veet Cold Wax Strips, which featured Khan in a fun mood with her group of girls when they go to crash a party but one of them is not salon-ready. Khan introduces her to the new product and Peel-Apply-Pull steps and soon they are all ready to rock.

The Souled Store

In 2022, Khan invested an undisclosed amount in the casual wear apparel company, The Souled Store. The brand has a merchandising license with companies like WWE, Disney, IPL, Warner Bros., and Viacom18, among others.

In a commercial for the brand, the actress showcased the brand’s pocket dresses, embracing her distinctive and experimental fashion style.

Kurkure

Kurkure launched its TVC campaign titled ‘Maal Andar Hai’ featuring brand ambassador Khan, to introduce its latest offering, Kurkure Chaat Fills, which is inspired by the flavours of Indian street food.

ACKO

The ‘Coolie No. 1’ star was signed as the brand ambassador of ACKO, the online insurance platform, along with her father Saif Ali Khan.

In collaboration with Leo Burnett, the campaign aims to reimagine the traditional consumer beliefs surrounding automobile insurance. Through the series of ad films, the father-daughter duo portrays a fun and chaotic contrast between a millennial and a GenX perception of insurance.

Shopsy

Shopsy by Flipkart, an e-commerce platform, launched its campaign with Khan as its brand ambassador in 2023. The campaign showed the platform’s pricing and the product range for customers who seek value.

Created and conceptualised by Leo Burnett Orchard, the TVC depicted how in Indian families, the parents get furious when their children spend large amounts of money on shopping. This campaign showed how online shopping on Shopsy is affordable.

Zouk

The homegrown brand, Zouk made Khan their first-ever brand ambassador in 2023. In an interview-format-inspired ad for the brand, she talks about how she is a combination of the good qualities of both her parents, which makes her proud. The commercial expresses how her qualities resemble that of the brand.
