OYO Founder Ritesh Agarwal Ready To Convert Rooms To Quarantine Centers For Coronavirus

| Published on March 17, 2020

In a response to a Twitter suggestion by a user to convert OYO rooms into quarantine centers during this coronavirus epidemic, Ritesh Agarwal, the Founder of OYO Hotels approved of the idea and is all set to do the same shortly. Currently, OYO hotels are present in at least 500 cities in India.

How Has Coronavirus Affected India So Far?

Most of the cities in India are shutting down theaters, arenas and any public space to combat the outcome of this pandemic. Mass gathering are being avoided to stop this virus from spreading further. Till now, the country has 115 positive cases of which 13 people have been cured and 2 are dead.

The number of suspects are increasing by the day. Just last week, the state of Karnataka had 2000 staff and students quarantined at Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai after a patient with confirmed symptoms walked in. There are many tourists flying in and out in the country and even across who are being observed to prevent the spread.

At a time like this, shelters like OYO rooms will serve as a blessing for tourists in the country and beyond. Only time will tell how soon this pandemic will end for good.
