The 80th Golden Globe Awards’ Best Original Song went to RRR’s song “Naatu Naatu.” India is celebrating RRR’s significant victory at the Golden Globes, while MM Keeravani, the song’s composer, defeated musical giants like Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, and Rihanna.

The song from the film “Naatu Naatu,” by SS Rajamouli, “RRR,” made history on January 10 when it became the first Asian song to win the Best Original Song award at the 80th Golden Globes.

The music was nominated with songs by Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, and Alexandre Desplat. Brands seized the chance to congratulate the creators and share in the accomplishment since they didn’t want to lose out on the historic occasion.

Director SS Rajamouli, stars Ram Charan and Jr. NTR all sprang out of their chairs and waved their hands in celebration when it was revealed that Naatu Naatu and RRR had won. As the entire table praised composer MM Keeravaani, their joyful response was caught on camera.

The video was posted to Twitter by the movie’s official account along with the hashtags “#NaatuNaatu #GoldenGlobes #GoldenGlobes2023 #RRRMovie” and “And the GOLDEN GLOBE AWARD FOR BEST ORIGINAL SONG Goes to #NaatuNaatu.” The accompanying video features Rajamouli and the leading actors joyfully celebrating the film’s maiden Golden Globe victory.

Prime Minister Modi greeted the crew on Twitter and expressed his delight in the victory while internet users were gushing about the honour and praising the team in countless tweets and posts.

A very special accomplishment! Compliments to @mmkeeravaani, Prem Rakshith, Kaala Bhairava, Chandrabose, @Rahulsipligunj. I also congratulate @ssrajamouli, @tarak9999, @AlwaysRamCharan and the entire team of @RRRMovie. This prestigious honour has made every Indian very proud. https://t.co/zYRLCCeGdE

Amul, a dairy company, has participated in the “Naatu Naatu” celebrations in its unique way.

The brand published a unique doodle with the superstars Jr. NTR, Ram Charan, and the song’s composer, MM Keeravaani. In the imaginative drawing, the actors are shown as their fictional selves, with MM Keeravaani clutching the Golden Globe awards trophy. “In the doodle, Amul gave a new full form to RRR and wrote Really Remarkable Reward”.

It’s not the first time, though, that the dairy company has produced a doodle on a hot issue. Earlier, Amul sent a beautiful doodle to wish Rishi Sunak, the next prime minister of the UK, well. They just uploaded the doodle with the message “Welcoming Britain’s first PM of Indian descent!” The illustration depicts the recognisable Amul girl strolling down a London street. Additionally, it has the words “Rishi Sunuk. Prime Makhan.”

The team had mixed results since while they did win one prize, they did not receive another. The movie was also up for Best Non-English Language Film, but Argentina, 1985 took home the prize. The approaching Oscar nominations are still something to look forward to for the cast and crew, who recently attended their first major Hollywood awards night together. Many anticipate that Naatu Naatu will win several more prizes in addition to being nominated for an Oscar in the music category.
