As pleasing as the idea of dining at a five star restaurant sounds, eating alone at a table can be not so overwhelming. So recently when the staff of a hotel saw a man alone at his table they decided to drop someone special in for his company.
Prakash Mallya, MD at Intel India, was in Mumbai when he decided to stop by at one of the restaurants of the Trident hotel in Bandra Kurla complex for a quick meal. Spotting the diner alone at the table, the staff placed a fishbowl at the table to ensure he had some company.
Moved by the gesture of the hotel, Prakash shared a photo on Twitter and wrote, “The hotel staff come by to leave this on my table as company given I was eating alone. So nice & thoughtful and something that’s never happened in all my travel thus far!”
