Google has roped in Mitul Shah as Managing Director (MD)- Google Devices and Services, India.
He took to LinkedIn and wrote, “It’s an honor to be part of a company that’s at the forefront of innovation, and I’m particularly thrilled to be working on a product that has the potential to put the magic and power of AI in the pockets of millions of people across my beloved country.”
He added, “I have always believed in the power of technology. No other innovation has had the same power to transform lives and create a more inclusive and equitable world- like AI. Google has been at the vanguard of the AI revolution, and pivotal in making the power of this technology accessible and helpful to everyone. India is one of the most dynamic and tech-savvy countries on the planet. AI will positively change the lives of millions of Indians. It will amplify creativity, elevate productivity, and unlock endless possibilities that enrich everyday lives.”
Previously, he was associated with Apple for more than nine years. He joined the tech giant in September 2015 as Head- Assisted Sales. Following this, he was elevated to Retail Business Head- Monobrand Channel in September 2016. After this, he was promoted to Head- Sales and Distribution in August 2019. Finally, he served as Head- Consumer Sales from April 2022 till his move.
Before this, he served in different positions at Accenture. He began his journey with the company as Manager, CPG Industry Group in November 2009. Subsequently, he was Principal and Lead- CPG Industry Group from March 2012 to August 2015.
Earlier, for nearly four years he was associated with Infosys. He started as Consultant- Forecasting and Supply Chain Management in January 2006. Later, he served as Senior Associate- Retail, CPG and Logistics from January 2008 to November 2009.
In the past, Shah was also associated with Maersk India and DecisionCraft Analytics in different roles.
