Metro Brands Appoints Nandadeep Jayakar As Business Head Of Foot Locker India

Metro Brands, who will own and operate Foot Locker stores within India, has appointed Nandadeep Jayakar as the Business Head of Foot Locker India, with immediate effect.

With three decades of experience in management, operations and supply chain, Jayakar will be responsible for driving business growth for Foot Locker India. He will report to Alisha Malik, President, Sports Division, E-commerce and CRM, Metro Brands.

Before joining Metro Brands, Jayakar was the Senior Director DTC – India at adidas, from July 2019 to June 2024, where he was responsible for heading the exclusive store business of the brand across many stores in India. In his earlier tenures with adidas, he served as Senior Director Franchise Western Europe, from March 2016 to February 2018, and Director Retail, from November 2020 to February 2016. Between 1997 and 2003, he also served as Regional Manager and then as Regional Manager – West, at adidas.

Earlier, Jayakar also served as Lead-HP World at H.P Sales India from September 2018 to April 2019. In the past, he was associated with Future Group India, Sony Music Entertainment and Voltas.
