List Of Books & Movies That Predicted Coronavirus Years Ago

Coronavirus has officially spread across 100 plus countries with confirmed cases rising globally. The outbreak has been termed as a pandemic. Some people are even asking the question- Is this how we die?
Well, no one knows when the world will be free from the epidemic of coronavirus outbreak. But there are some books, movies and series that predicted the pandemic years ago.

Here is a look into books and movies that predicted the outbreak years ago:

1. End of Days

The novel ‘End of days’ written by Sylvia Browne, who claimed to be a medium with psychic abilities, predicted the outbreak of the virus 12 years ago. A photo of an excerpt from the book is going viral on social media platforms.

The excerpt reads, “In around 2020 a severe pneumonia-like illness will spread throughout the globe, attacking the lungs and the bronchial tubes and resisting all known treatments.” Creeped out yet? Wait there is more. It further reads, “Almost more baffling than the illness itself will be the fact that it will suddenly vanish as quickly as it has arrived, attack again 10 years later, and then disappear completely.”

2. Contagion

The movie ‘Contagion’ starring Gwyneth Paltrow was released in 2011 and described the virus outbreak which originated from Hongkong. The fictional virus which is known as MEV- 1 in the movie is shown to kill 20 percent of people affected with it.

3. The Future-teller Simpsons

The longest-running animated comedy series is master in predicting major world events. Almost 16 years ago, in an episode titled ‘Bart to the Future’, it was shown that Donald Trump will become the president of the United States of America. And they had predicted about a virus too in 1993. A viral collection of images, apparently taken from the 1993 episode of Simpsons are going viral on social media. In the Simpsons, the viral flu is seen to be originating from Japan and not China as the workers ship the Osaka Flu to Springfield.

4. The Eyes of The Darkness

Another novel talked about a virus, Wuhan-400, which was created as a bio-weapon in a laboratory. The novel written by Dean Koontz in 1981 talked about a deadly virus, which had the capability to wipe out an entire city or country.
