What if someone tells you that you can live on an island, do some work and earn a salary of 91.7 lakhs, won’t you simply jump off from your chair? But well, this isn’t any joke or an imaginary dream; it’s a dream come true job that the East Brother Light Station is calling applicants for.

This lighthouse located in the San Pablo Bay, an island in the US state of California dates back to 1874 and is currently on a lookout for hiring staff to manage it. It was established to assist sailors for navigating the misty waters surrounding San Francisco and today it is a tourist spot and houses an Inn as well.

About the East Brother Light Station

Automated within the 1960s, the lighthouse is still operating. It is maintained by non-profit group East Brother Lighthouse Inc and owned by the US Coast Guard. It’s been a breakfast staple and a West Coast bed since 1979. Funds attained by the inn go towards restoration and maintenance of the historic building. Other job necessities include serving high-quality food, housekeeping, and shipping guests from the dry land to the island.

The place is rather isolated, doesn’t have facilities like wifi or even a television, but for those who leave peace and seclusion, it definitely is a dream job.
