After a life of kindness and generosity, the Chairman Emeritus of Tata Group, Ratan Tata, has gone on to his heavenly abode. His passing has saddened many leaders across industries, business tycoons, and more. They have paid tribute to the ‘Ratan’ of India in their own heartfelt ways.

Ratan Tata, the Chairman Emeritus, Tata Group, passed away at the age of 86 at a hospital in Mumbai. The veteran business leader was a source of inspiration to many and was also the backbone to the company as he never settled in his missions. He led the company through many acquisitions and launches which have been integral part of the Tata Group’s journey.

The ‘Titan’ Tata has forayed into various sectors during his tenure as the leader of one of the biggest conglomerates in India. From Tata Motors to Air India, from TCS to Voltas, from Starbucks India to Tata Power, there has been nary a sector where he did not leave a mark. The stories of Air India’s homecoming and the poetic justice of the meeting with Ford.

The philanthropic Tata, led a life full of charity and his last project- Small Animal Hospital (SAHM) in Mumbai is still under works. In 2022, he invested in ‘Goodfellows’, a company that provides companionship to the senior citizens.

His demise has left the nation and the world in mourning, big names from the advertising and marketing industry have honoured Tata in their own ways. Tributes have also poured in from business icons like Mukesh Ambani, Gautam Adani, Anand Mahindra and more, this further emphasises the impact that he had on the world.

One that really brought joy to my heart was his love and dedication to animals. With the recent opening of the Tata small animal hospital that promises great care to the four legged creatures he loved so much, he added to the tradition of the Tata group of establishing institutions that would serve many generations of people.”

Aditya Agarwal, Director, Emami Group, “We have lost our ‘unmol ratan’, a rare gem of a human being, one of the greatest philanthropists and the titan of Indian industry.  It is an irreparable and profound loss to India.  Mr Ratan Tata, a symbol of integrity, empathy, and humility was highly respected for his commitment, innovation and business acumen and was a source of inspiration to all .  His contribution to the Indian industry is unparalleled.   His empathetic support and help to his associates and people around him are well known and well respected.  Our deepest condolences to his family and the members of the Tata Group.”

Punit Goenka, MD and CEO, ZEE Entertainment Enterprises, has proposed a “Biographical film on the life of Ratan Tata Ji” should be made, in order to pay regards to the great man and for the positive impact that he has created on the world at large through his social and entrepreneurial initiatives. Goenka believes that the great work done by Tata should be presented to the Nation and the World at large; especially the youth, and ZEE would take a step forward in this direction.

Gopalan, Chairman, ZEEL said that the entire board is saddened by the fact that India will miss Tata. Approving the project, he said that the movie would be produced by ZEE Studios, to pay homage to him. We feel that the film will make a positive impact on the World at large, to learn from his life and motivate millions to follow in his footsteps.

Karan Abhishek Singh, CEO, ZEE Media, said, “All of us at ZEE News group feel privileged to be associated with the desired and timely initiative by ZEEL, we convey our sincere condolences for the departed soul.”

Umesh Bansal, Chief Business Officer, ZEE Studios, said, “As a Nation’s very own brand, ZEE Studios’ entire team is highly honoured and proud to work on a full length documentary/biographical film on the life of Tata that will reflect the positive impact that Shri. Ratan Tata has made the World at large. We believe that it is our duty to celebrate such a great personality and his legacy. We assure BHARAT that ZEE Studio will leave no stone unturned to give a true account of his contribution as well as depicting his life in a proper manner.”

The company stated that the project will be subject to ZEE getting approval from TATA Sons. ZEE would further like to add that the profit generated by ZEE Studios from this movie will be donated towards social-causes and helping the needy.

In order to get the movie a global reach, ZEE Studios will collaborate with WION (World is One News), as co-producer so the movie can reach globally through its reach and large viewership in more than 190 countries.
