In 2006, she launched her own company and started selling mason jars from the back of her car. The idea of naming the business Bhakti Chai came into her mind after seeing the devotional nature of Indians.

“I realized the recipe I had crafted for myself, a fiery fresh ginger chai, could be produced for cafés and retailers to bring people not only ‘India in a cup,’ but build a mission-driven company on the tenants of bhakti,” she told in an interview.

Since the launch of this brand, she has got a total funding of $10 million through angel investors & private equity firms. To expand her business Eddy started selling ready-to-drink cold box sets, which helped Bhakti Chai to get famous all over the US.

her motive is not only to earn money but to share the happiness with others. She proved that with a campaign called GITA (Give, Inspire, Take Action) to help the financially poor people by donating a total of $500,000. India is her source of inspiration and she likes to visit different regions in the country whenever she has the chance of coming to India.

She knows that competition is getting tough now as other companies have also joined her in starting tea in the US and to achieve the top position she wants to launch more products. She is now focusing on spices that are grown in India as there is a huge demand for different tastes in English countries.
