Here’s How Brands Celebrated Eid In 2023

The holy month of Ramadan ends with people around the world celebrating Eid al-Fitr. After a month of fasting, the festival brings with it an air of festivities, emphasizing kindness, sharing, love, and brotherhood.

This year, brands too have centered their campaigns on these values and the importance of families- the ones we are born into and the ones we make on our life’s journey.

Let’s check out a few such Eid campaigns this year.

1. Julahaa Sarees- #RishteBunteHaiDilSeHi

A heart-warming ad based on the central theme of humanity and religious harmony. How a duty-bound nurse has to skip Eid celebrations and how a new grandmother gifts her a saree that makes her Eid joyful, makes for a delightful watch.

2. Reliance SMART Bazaar- #Apnepan Ki Eid

The brand urged audiences to give the gift of affinity and spread the love this Eid.

A grumpy teacher appears close-fisted and irritated to his family, as he spends days before Eid saving each penny by making sacrifices. However, he does so, to gift his students eidis, making them smile on the day of Eid.

3. Tata Motors- #LeaveNoOneBehind

One of the most poignant Eid ads this year. Everything right from the story to the acting and the background score is sure to make every viewer think about the importance of family.

An elderly man who doesn’t have anyone in the world is taken to one of his customers’ homes, under the pretext of being asked to help due to an emergency. He is taken by surprise when he is bought to their home to actually celebrate Eid.

4. Adidas

A rather innovative and unexplored area bought forth in Ramadan, the ad shows the determination of athletes who observe Rozas during Ramadan, exhibiting restraint and self-discipline, testing strength of character and tremendous willpower. The ad beautifully drives the point that athletes need not choose between fasting and working out.

5. Home Credit- #ZindagiHit

The ad shares a story of hope and help. Skilled artisans face a lot of competition from online competitors, bringing a significant decrease in business, especially during the festive season when businessmen expect a boom, in this case, the month of Ramadan.

However, a ray of hope in the form of Home Credit comes to the rescue. A customer helps a businessman by gifting a “Ummed ka tohfa”. This ad truly tugs the right strings.

6. McDonalds

The ad shows three new colleagues, all away from their respective homes, coming together and observing Ramadan, turning friends into family.
With an impromptu iftar at Mcdonald’s, they pour their hearts and realize the importance of friends being there for each other in times of loneliness, just like a family.

Apart from ad campaigns, many brands conveyed a heartfelt “Eid Mubarak” on social media with creative, colorful and beautiful wishes!
