Future Group Rebrands With a New Tagline

| Published on May 10, 2019

A good tagline can do wonders to the brand and looks like Kishore Biyani is very much aware of this theory.

Kishore Biyani led Future Group recently put up a front page ad in the Delhi edition of The Economic Time unveiling its new tagline that says “Co-Founders of The New”. Future Group has changed its brand identity several times in the past as well with the last being in 2014 “Making India Beautiful.”

It is also not the first for a Biyani led brand to have changed its tagline. Biyani’s emphasis on changing the brand tagline started off with “India Tomorrow” which was changed to “Udnai hai. Aaj. Abhi” in 2011. Also interestingly Future Group owned Big Bazaar the large retail chain, went through a complete image makeover (both in terms of logo and tagline) on completing 10 years of operation in the country changing its tagline from “Isse Sasta Aur Accha Kahin Nahin” to “Naye India Ka Bazaar.”

Biyani was quoted in a Business Today article saying, “The world is changing very fast and so should a company’s brand image. A company should change its brand image every five years.”

The brand recently restricted itself to food, fashion and home furnishing verticals. At the recently concluded Retail Leadership Summit, Future Group founder and CEO Kishore Biyani, was quoted saying, “We missed the bus on internet commerce, so we are getting into data-driven commerce now (with its blended commerce model, Tathastu).”

Here is the take of our fellow Twitterati on the new tagline
