After the success of Zomato and Swiggy, the food-delivery segment is looking very strong and profitable for the big players like Flipkart and Amazon. According to a report, online food deliveries have increased more than 150% in the last one year. These companies are eyeing online retail stores, travel companies, entertainment ticketing, food and grocery delivery due to the huge success of such companies in countries like China.

They launched Amazon Pantry, in which customers are provided grocery and other essential items in limited cities, with a same-day delivery option through their Amazon Now app. Paytm mall is also discussing this matter with their main investor Alibaba.
