Gender pay gap is real!

The Kapil Sharma Show is not only the most popular and loved tv shows but also the one that manages to be in the headlines time and again.

Hosted by Kapil Sharma and graced by celebrities every weekend, the show had earlier made headlines when Navjot Singh Sidhu an integral part of the show was replaced by Archana Puran Singh after his remarks on the Phulwama attack.

But what remains the lesser-known fact here is that though Archana Puran Singh has taken over the same place in the show, she continues to be paid much less than Navjot Singh Sidhu. 

It was during the show itself when the former actress revealed that she gets paid only half of what Sidhu got as the payment. This also is not the first time that Archana Puran Singh has spoken about her package at the Kapil Sharma Show and the pay gap between the male actors and actresses in the industry.

Navjot Singh Sidhu was removed from the Kapil Sharma show overnight when his statements triggered national debate. He had said, “For a handful of people, can you blame the entire nation and can you blame an individual? It (the attack) is a cowardly act and I condemn it firmly. Violence is always condemnable and those who did it must be punished”.
