Cow Dung, Urine Based Startups Can Now Get 60% Government Funding

According to reports, startups based on cow by-products like dairy products, dung and urine could now get up to 60% of the funding from the government.

The Chairman of Kamdhenu Ayog has said that the government will encourage youths to go for cow-based entrepreneurship. In addition, they will earn not only for products like milk and ghee but also by-products like urine and dung that can be used for medicinal and agriculture purposes.

According to a statement given to TOI, Vallabh  Kathiria, Chairman of Kamdhenu Ayog, has been meeting with students and scholastic experts of the Entrepreneur Development Institute of India situated in Gandhinagar to strategize to encourage youth to join cow-based entrepreneurship.

Commencement of The Kamdhenu Ayog

PM Narendra Modi‘s government had commenced Kamdhenu Ayog with Rs. 500 crores funding in February 2019. And the Ayog’s priority concern is the conservation, protection, and development of cows and their progeny. It is proposed to increase the growth of the livestock sector in India.

Kathiria also said that the board will provide a platform for scholars and researchers to project their research on these by-products and will also hold training programs and skill development camps for people already running Gaushalas.

Ayog’s Future Plan

As per the report coming in New Delhi, Rashtriya Kamdhenu Ayog and  Ministry of AYUSH are working together to produce a drug, using cow urine and dung named Panchgavya. It is focused to help in the development of highly intelligent children.

Many steps are being taken for animal husbandry, protection, and welfare, many changes are being done and with the help of latest technology, it is transforming the dairy industry like never before.

The Chairman Kathiria also informed about their plans to promote a cow tourism circuit. Its route will pass by the area’s where indigenous cow breeds are reared.

They have identified some states for this circuit like Haryana, Panjab, Gujrat, Rajsthan, Karnataka, Kerala, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Goa.
