Tata Consultancy Service (TCS)

IT giant, TCS, is the largest private sector employer in India that employs nearly 4.5 lakh people. TCS is headquartered in Mumbai, India and has a presence in 46 countries at 149 locations.

Quess Corporation

Most engineers not even have heard of this company’s name, but this staffing solution company is the second-highest private sector employer in India despite employing more people than TCS in India. The reason why it is not at the top of the list is that overall employee strength of TCS, which includes TCS employees overseas, is more than Quess Corporation. Quess corporation is headquartered in Bangalore and employs 3.83 lakh people in India.


Another Indian tech giant employs 2.43 lakh people in India. Infosys headquarters is in Bangalore. It is India’s second-largest IT sector company that has 82 sales and marketing offices worldwide.


The next in our list India’s largest online food ordering and delivery platform. Swiggy has a delivery staff of 2.1 lakh people. There was news that Swiggy is planning to onboard 3 lakh employees in India, which will make it the largest employer in India.

Reliance Industries Limited (RIL)

The last in our list India’s favorite Reliance Industries Limited. RIL employs 1.94 lakh people in India. RIL is headquartered in Mumbai. It is one of India’s most profitable companies.
