Bill Gates who is currently one of the richest men in the world has built a business empire on his own. His journey is something that teaches us several life lessons. The simplicity with which he conducts his life sets him as an inspirational public figure.

Below are some which lessons may not make you the richest, but they will definitely give you a direction in creating your own success story.

1. Value of time and money

while the modern youth is busy wasting time on irrelevant things, Gates always believed in prioritizing tasks to yield the most productive results of time spent. “No matter how much money you have, you can’t buy time” is one of his popular quotes.

2. Mistakes are a part of growth

Most people believe in only celebrating success and consider failure as disastrous, but Bill Gates thinks otherwise. “It’s fine to celebrate success, but it is more important to heed the lessons of failure.”

3. Start early

If you have an idea and want to pursue something, do it right now. Start as early as early as possible. “If you don’t build your dreams, someone else will hire you to build theirs.”

Add value to your customer’s life

For Bill Gates, it’s not only about selling products, but he also wants to add value and he does that by so many methods. “I’ve been very lucky and therefore I owe it to try and reduce the inequity in the world. And that’s kind of a religious belief. I mean, it’s at least a moral belief.”

5. Don’t get distracted from milestones

Like failures, success is also just a part of your journey. Don’t get distracted by the attention and fame you get after achieving something. Start working at something new with bigger milestones.
