Baba Ramdev Gets Slammed On Twitter For Patanjali’s Cream Ad

Brands have been selling their creams by assuring white skin to the customers from years. Indian youth has become aware of the fact that having white skin is not necessary to be beautiful as every colour has its own uniqueness.
Recently Patanjali has been involved in a controversy for its beauty cream ad. The ad read “Possesses the benefits of wheat germ oil, turmeric, aloe-vera, and basil etc. which are extremely beneficial for skin ailments like dry skin, dark complexion and wrinkles. After getting to know about this social media users are showing their anger because they think Patanjali promoted their product by showing that dark complexion is not beautiful. This has offended so many people, who are against using skin-lightening products.

Patanjali spokesperson was quick to react to this and he tweeted: “It’s just a translation error from the Hindi ad on the same product. The Hindi ad has no mention of the dark complexion,”
