Apple Celebrates Bollywood With Its First Shot On iPhone Film- Fursat

| Published on February 3, 2023

Apple shared a 30-minute video from Indian director Vishal Bhardwaj as part of its continuing “Shot on iPhone” series. The iPhone 14 Pro, Apple’s most recent flagship smartphone, was used to record the whole film.

Apple has created a brilliant method to promote the features of its top-tier iPhones; the tech company often creates short films, which are helmed by renowned directors. These short films, which are all filmed using the most recent iPhone models, cover a range of genres and filmmaking techniques. And now, renowned Indian director Vishal Bhardwaj has enlisted a select group of distinguished filmmakers from around the world to create a short movie for Apple.

“Fursat,” a short film, is characterized as a “magical story about a man so obsessed with controlling the future that he risks losing what he holds most precious in the present.” Ishaan and Wamiqa Gabbi, two well-known Indian actors, are in it.

In the past, Apple has collaborated with filmmakers to use professional filming environments to demonstrate the possibilities of its devices. The iPhone 14 Pro versions have a big Action Motion with a smooth-looking video that avoids shaking, motion, and vibrations, as well as a 48-megapixel Wide lens.

What are the opinions of the experts?

Director of photography Swapnil Sonawane, who has worked on well-known films like Sacred Games, said he was taken aback by how much the iPhone might manage. Before adding, “for it to be held in your hand and run with all your might looking at the actor, one gets extremely steady shots, without an external gimbal.”

According to him, the focus shift in Cinematic mode is similar to how a focus puller would do it: “It’s an emotional shift focus, which is what was lovely about it,” he continued.
