Amazon Selling ‘Natural’ Coconut Shells For ‘Just’ Rs 1400. Netizens Are Calling It Clever Marketing

E-commerce websites have become very popular as online shopping is making people buy products on their will and on discounted prices. There are several positives of online shopping but it also comes up with some cons that make public laugh sometimes.

A picture has gone viral on social media with E-commerce giant Amazon selling a coconut shell at Rs 1365. Indians are shocked whether they should be having a laugh and rue their lost opportunity to be very very rich.

The seller named Century Novelty on Amazon dubbed it as “Natural Coconut Shell Cup” and of course it comes with a warning – “This is an actual, real, coconut. Therefore, it may have cracks, dents and imperfections.”

Interestingly this is the discounted price as actual price is written as Rs 3000. IPS officer Rema Rajeshwari spotted it and posted the screenshot of the product on social media, leaving Indians on Twitter in shock.

Note that, In India, coconut is normally priced at Rs 40 and in the southern parts of the country, especially, the fruit is a staple. Take a look how people are reacting:
