How Brands Celebrated Earth Day 2023 Using Advertisements & Social Media

We all have been using the Earth’s resources for our sustenance. In this process, we have put a lot of pressure on the planet, thereby leading to serious problems and crisis like climate change and resource depletion.

To make people realize the importance of a cleaner and safer planet, for us and our future generations, 22nd April is celebrated as ‘Earth Day’ since 1970. This is done as a measure to spread awareness about pressing environmental issues in various ways like programs and drives, all across the world.

Brands too aren’t far behind in this respect. On Earth Day 2023, many of them demonstrated their commitment in making the planet a better place to live in.

Let’s check a few campaigns from this year.

1. Tata Power

Trust Tata to convey poignant stories at the right time. Through their campaign ‘Sustainable is Attainable’, the brand brings forth a touching story- ‘De power Ko Green Signal’.
The ad shows how solar power is encouraging and changing the lives of women boxers in remote Leh.

2. Schneider

The global specialist in energy management and automation, Schneider pledged towards increasing their participation and assistance towards making Earth better sustainable and equipped.

This year the brand encouraged each and every one of us to become a ‘Green Yodha’.

3. Jaquar India

A relevant and easy way to save electricity would be to switch lights and appliances off, when not in use. And Jaquar encouraged audiences to do the same, by taking small steps towards making Earth more liveable.

4. Amul

The dairy and chocolate brand encouraged everyone to pledge to protect Mother Earth, as it is the only planet with chocolate.

5. Maruti Suzuki

Maruti Suzuki stressed the idea of keeping cars healthy through periodic servicing and proper maintenance. This will go a long way in making this planet healthier.

6. Byjus

In a true educational grading style, Byjus released reports on topics like deforestation, receding ice areas, food storage, and air pollution. Along with its results, the edutech company showed the flipside and effects of these activities as well.

7. Discovery Channel India

The channel conveyed to its audiences to save the planet while we still can.

8. Havells

The FMCG major encouraged everyone to make small changes in their lives that will go a long way in making the planet Earth sustainable for future generations.

9. KFC India

To show their commitment towards making the earth a cleaner and greener planet, KFC has begun using recyclable, compostable and biodegradable packaging material, that is sources from 100% sustainable FSC sources.

10. CEAT Tyres

The tyre giant wished everyone on Earth Day, with a powerful creative stressing that CEAT tyres are safe for the road and the planet.
