The year 2021 came as a year of a new beginning for many of us. People entered the year hopeful, more than ever. This gave many brands an opportunity to re-introduce themselves to the world.
While many entered different fields, there were many bid rebrandings that were done this year. Facebook turned to Meta as one of the most talked-about rebrandings for sure.
However, there were many other brands that gave their logos a new look which created a lot of buzz all over.
1. Facebook To Meta
Earlier in October, at Connect 2021, CEO Mark Zuckerberg introduced Meta. This was a rebranding of Facebook Inc. At the event, Zuckerberg said that Meta was visioned to bring together all the apps and technologies under one new company brand.
2. Burger King
The beginning of 2021 marked a new beginning for Burger King. The company’s revamped new logo replaces the previous design which was introduced in 1999. The old design was made up of a ‘more stylised burger’ surrounded by a blue crescent.
3. Pfizer
With its new logo, Pfizer stated that it is today so much more than just a pharmaceutical company. The new logo signals this shift from commerce to science.
4. Renault
Earlier this year, the French marque has revealed the first major redesign of its diamond-shaped logo since 1992. Gilles Vidal, Renault‘s design director, said about the new logo that it maintains a ‘balance between recognition of the brand’s heritage and entering a new era’.
5. Volvo
Volvo was yet another company that revamped its logo in 2021. The new logo was an all-black falter circle with the arrow giving it a more symmetrical look.
6. General Motors
Earlier this year, General Motors changed the former blue square logo and launched a new website to reflect GM’s new “Everybody In” campaign. As per reports, the logo’s new color is meant to “evoke the cleaner skies a zero-emissions future will bring.
7. CIA
The CIA‘s eagle-based emblem is now a black and white new logo as revealed on the government agency’s recruitment website.
