The covid-19 pandemic has increased uncertainty and fright in the world. Through its campaign #CancelBefikar, the brand aims to raising brand awareness and use the product for an unruffled booking experience. Travelers are often doubtful of heavy flight expenses especially on booking cancellations. The brand, with the use of famous Bollywood dialogues and songs are trying to convince travelers to leave their worries and book tension-free on Ixigo, which promises a refund on domestic flight tickets cancellation upto Rs 5000/-
The campaign was designed by the company’s in-house team. Aloke Bajpai, group CEO and co-founder, Ixigo, says, “Our brand tonality encompasses featuring witty content captured in a casual narrative, and that has been the main inspiration behind designing this campaign. Using Bollywood and travel as our main theme, allowed us to create interesting and eye-catching content that adds value and is in sync with the brand’s philosophy of enriching our users’ travel journey.”
The campaign has received positive feedback and travel demand during the festive period is witnessing a surge. People are visiting friends and family especially after the Covid pandemic struck, and are also seen booking for leisurely travel to places like Ladakh, Jaipur, Kashmir and Goa. Also, international destinations like Dubai, Russia and Maldives related searches have seen a surge.
During the pandemic, Ixigo had released public awareness campaigns, informing travellers about travelling etiquette in flights and trains encouraging safer travel during the pandemic. They are now launching social media campaigns updating travellers on various travel-related and vaccination policies. They also have a committed COVID helpdesk and guideline section to enable people, to know about domestic and international travel rules and guidelines.
In a bid to encourage travellers to get themselves vaccinated before they resume travelling, the company has a vaccine slot finder on their app too.
